As part of the development of our French subsidiary, we are seeking an Accounting & Administrative Assistant. This permanent position will be based in Rungis, with the possibility of remote work. The gross salary will be determined based on experience and profile.

The Accounting & Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing and reporting financial and administrative information for the organization.

This role involves preparing and maintaining accounting records related to assets and liabilities, fixed assets, accrued income and deferrals, and accounts receivable and payable. Under the supervision and coordination of the Finance & Administrative Manager, the Accounting & Administrative Assistant oversees the issuance and recording of invoices, monitors payments and collections, prepares documentation required for tax compliance, and ensures the proper archiving of administrative and accounting records.

Key activities:
– Monthly, annual, and quarterly closings, and more specifically, reconciling the accuracy of key ledgers (banks, domestic and international partner advances, etc.) and recording monthly depreciation.
– Management of accounting department correspondence.
– Recording of accounting data (e.g. invoices, bank statements, banks and credit cards, .);
– Checking expenses reports.
– Accounting for costs and recoveries related to the international area.
– Verification and release of invoices for payment.
– Issuing invoices and recording accounting records.
– Maintaining supplier and general ledger accounts.
– Maintaining customer and supplier accounts.
– Supporting the Finance & Administrative Manager in preparing monthly reports and year-end financial statements.
– Fulfilling the company’s periodic tax obligations.
– Managing the paper document archive.

The ideal candidate has a degree in economics or several years of previous experience in administrative and accounting fields gained in medium-sized multinational companies, audit firms, or professional firms.

Technical competences:
– Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc..)
– Knowledge of SAP is a plus
– Ability to independently perform double-entry accounting records
– Ability to ensure compliance with tax deadlines
– Knowledge of accounting, tax and bookkeeping regulations
